Exploring Africa -
Africa, the second largest continent in the world in both physical size
and population, has for the most part been "under" taught, marginalized
and often grossly misrepresented in our classrooms as well as in our
media and popular cultural. Our site challenges the status quo by
providing educators and students with content materials and learning
activities which allow for a comprehensive study of the African
continent and its people in their glorious diversity. This is a Michigan State University resource.
LATTICE - Developed
in 1995 as an international education partnership, LATTICE links six school
districts in mid-Michigan with international graduate
students/scholars at Michigan State University. LATTICE
concentrates on adult learning and promotes practical links to K-12
classrooms. This resource is a partnership between a number of mid-Michigan school districts and Michigan State University.

Schoolhouse - This website offers teachers and
students a variety of tools to facilitate learning about
the world and international events, including
collaborative efforts with other schools.
LASER - "a web site for
middle and high school teachers and students who are learning about
Latin America in social sciences and humanities classes. This site can
be used to learn more about Latin America and the Caribbean countries, to
obtain information to incorporate into their lessons about Latin America,
to view actual sample lesson plans, materials, and ideas for teaching about
Latin America and the Caribbean, and to access annotated and categorized resource
lists that will help them take advantage of a vast universe of other resources

Windows on Asia - "Windows
on Asia is a website for K-12 teachers interested in bringing Asia into the classroom.
This site was created by the Asian Studies Center at Michigan State University to provide
material to assist teachers
of all levels (K-12) in integrating Asian themes into their classes. It provides brief
descriptions on important aspects of Asia in general, as well as more detailed information
on each individual country in Asia; it features teaching modules and links to important web
resources, many of which also contain teaching modules. Students of all ages may also find
