Agriculture

Globalization has had a tremendous impact on agriculture. As trade barriers have melted away, this traditionally protected sector of the economy has faced fierce competition from around the world. Increased contact between disparate parts of the world has introduced new problems and possibilities such as the spread of disease and pests. Scientific developments have produced new questions and challenges such as those posed by genetically-altered crops. Find out about these and other agricultural issues in this part of MSU Global Access.
